Kid's Splat Ball private group
What it actually looks like
What the children do
Splat Ball uses spring powered markers and smaller paintballs that travel at about half the speed of a normal paintball, so the hit is much lighter. Kids between 8 and 12, along with parents and older siblings, make up the group of ten. Everyone gets a mask, a chest protector and a Splat Ball marker, and 2,000 paintballs are included for the group to share. Sessions run about 2.75 hours including sign up and instructions. Six players is the absolute minimum, and extra players beyond the first ten cost $25 plus tax each with no extra paintballs. Sixteen is the total maximum. All Splat Ball parties are private unless special arrangements are made. Booking goes through the Book Now button, choosing the Small Private session and then the Splat Ball option.
Put on a mask and chest protector, get shown how the marker works, then play short games against each other across the wooded fields, walking between fields and sitting under a covered shelter for snacks in the breaks.
Good to know
The whole visit is outdoors on wooded fields, with covered shelters, benches and tables for eating and a snack counter on site. Washrooms, wheelchair access, bus parking and what happens in heavy rain are not stated anywhere, so it is worth a call.
