The $99 covers six children, so eighteen children is three packages rather than three times a single child's price. Book at least 72 hours ahead, and remember no outside food comes in except a nut free cake, which they cannot refrigerate.
What the children do
The Nanaimo centre lists two kids party packages. Rock 'N' Bowl starts at $99 for up to six children and includes 90 minutes of bowling, one large pizza, a French fry platter, unlimited fountain drinks and a free bowling coupon for each guest. The $16.50 a child figure quoted on the page is that $99 shared between six children on a Monday to Thursday booking. Strike 'N' Play starts at $149 for up to six children and adds six $10 arcade cards. Both are for children 15 and under. Book more than four lanes, meaning 24 or more guests, and you go through the events team instead.
Bowl for 90 minutes on a lane, with bumpers and a ramp for the smaller ones, then sit down together for pizza and fries. Each child takes home a coupon for a free game.
Good to know
Indoors with free parking, accessible lanes and a host who runs the party. Washrooms and space for packed lunches are not mentioned, and the kitchen will not store food you bring, so plan the eating around their menu.
Sources disagree. Their school trips page says trips start at $20 a child at the top of the page, then lists an hour of bowling at $7.99 a head further down. The cheaper figure is bowling on its own. Ask for a written quote so you can see what the $20 is meant to cover.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except for peanut-free birthday cakes as part of our birthday party packages. Children under the age of 12 are required to be supervised by an adult or caregiver over the age of 16. Guests must wear enclosed footwear on the bowling lanes, open-toed shoes, Crocs, and slip-ons are not permitted for safety reasons. No under 19's are permitted in centre after 10pm
