Self-guided park visit
What it actually looks like
What the children do
The Long Beach Unit is the road-accessible part of the park reserve. It holds beaches, hiking trails and the ʔapsčiik t̓ašii multi-use pathway, which extends 25 km from the southern to the northern boundary of the unit and is used on foot, by stroller, by wheelchair and by bicycle. The park refers to visitors holding a valid National Park Entry Pass, but no entry price, group rate or opening hours could be read. Guided activities and tours in all units are available from licensed commercial operators, not from the park.
Walk or push a stroller along the flat ʔapsčiik t̓ašii pathway, then go down onto the open beaches and into the forest trails of the Long Beach Unit.
Good to know
The multi-use pathway is described as usable with a stroller or a wheelchair, but the beaches and forest trails are not. Washrooms, somewhere indoors to eat, rain shelter, bus parking and the park's own address are not stated, so it is worth a call before you book.
