Our note
This page is written for seniors' groups, so check that the guide will pitch it for children when you call. At $10 a head it works out dearer than their school tour for anything but a very small group.

What the children do

A cemetery tour booked privately for your own group with one of their guides, on any day of the week except Sunday. Topics include BC history, women's history, gold rushes, BC place names and Victoria street names, and other topics are available. Tours last about an hour and cost $10 per person. The guides wear a portable voice amplifier so everyone can hear, the route follows the paved pathways, and a group arriving by private bus can drive into Ross Bay Cemetery to meet the guide. This page is written for seniors' groups but says the tours are for any private group.

Walk for about an hour along the paved paths with a guide, stopping at graves and monuments to hear the stories behind them.

Good to know

About an hour outdoors on paved, step free paths, with a guide who wears a voice amplifier so everyone can hear. Washrooms, lunch space and a wet weather plan are not mentioned, so ask when you book.

Sources disagree. Their school page charges one flat $45 for the whole tour and their private group page charges $10 a person. Which one applies to a class of children is not spelled out. Worth settling when you book, because for 25 children the difference is large.
