What it actually looks like

Our note
Check before you set out. When we looked, the exhibit space was shut for repairs and only the front desk and shop were open, which is a thin visit for a group that has travelled out from town.

What the children do

A drop-in visit to the Nature House building in the park. Discover Parks lists it as a self-guided activity and describes displays about the park's forests, rivers and wildlife, hands-on activities, and a gift shop whose takings support the education programs. When we checked, the exhibit space was closed because of structural damage and only the front desk and retail store were open. No admission price is published.

Go into the Nature House and look at the displays about the park's forests, river and wildlife, and try the hands-on activities set out inside.

Good to know

The building is indoors and open seven days a week through the summer season, but their pages say nothing about washrooms, lunch space or bus parking, and no admission price is given.
