Our note

The making half is what carries younger groups through, so this is the better of the two tours if your children will not last 45 minutes on their feet just looking. Ask what the activity involves before you come, because it changes with each exhibition.

What the children do

A 90 minute visit that pairs the guided exhibition tour with an art activity based on the themes of the show. The $200 covers the first 15 people and every person after that is $15. French tours are available on request, depending on staff being available. The tours page does not give an age range for this one.

Tour the current exhibition with a facilitator, then sit down and make something of their own in an art activity built around the same ideas.

Good to know

Washrooms with change tables are inside both the gallery and Art Lab, and the route in is step free. No lunch space is mentioned and there is no parking lot of their own, so plan street parking or the parkade.

Street-level access is located via our front entrance on Commercial Street. There are two sets of double automated doors to pass through before entering the Gallery.

Bus parking

There is no public parking lot for Gallery visitors. Paid street parking is available. The nearest parkade is on the corner of Bastion & Fitzwilliam Streets behind the Royal Bank.
