Our note
This is the route for a group that is not a K to 12 class, such as a daycare. It is per person rather than per group, so a party of twenty costs about a hundred and twenty dollars.

What the children do

A group rate of $6 a person for any group of at least 8 people, giving the run of the galleries. Taxes are included in the posted admission prices. Children aged 5 and under are free.

Walk the galleries at their own pace, looking at the collections from northern Vancouver Island.

Good to know

Washrooms and a picnic area on site, and the building is wheelchair accessible with a courtesy wheelchair to borrow. Whether there is somewhere indoors to eat and where a bus can pull in are not stated, so it is worth a call.

Sources disagree. Two of their pages give different grade ranges for the colonization program. One says grades 8 to 12 and the booking form says 6 to 12. If you have a grade 6 or 7 class, ask before you count on it.
Sources disagree. They give two different grade ranges for the archaeology program, one starting at grade 7 and one at grade 6. A grade 6 class may or may not be eligible, so check when you book.
Sources disagree. The Haig-Brown tour is described as two hours in one place and one hour in another. Plan your bus for the longer one and confirm the length when you book.
