Our note
This one sits inside a working university library, so it is quiet and there is no dedicated group space mentioned. Ask which gallery you are actually booked into when you email, because downtown and campus share the same booking address. Parking and drop off on campus are worth sorting out before the day.
What the children do
A group visit to the current exhibitions with a short introduction from gallery staff. Offered free to university classes, school classes and community groups of all ages. To book, email the gallery with your group name, how many people are coming, which exhibitions you would like to see, your preferred date and time, and any special needs your group has. The gallery does not say which of its two locations a given visit takes place in.
Walk through the gallery on the lower level of the library with a short spoken introduction to the exhibitions, then look at and talk about the works on display.
Good to know
Free to walk in, on the bottom level of the library, reachable by stairs or lift although the layout can be tight for mobility devices. Washrooms, lunch space, bus drop off and group size limits are not stated for this location, so ask.
