What it actually looks like

Our note
This is a talk with slides, so it suits older children who can sit and listen rather than a preschool group. Ask which topics they can actually deliver, because what is listed is past presentations.

What the children do

Historically Speaking is the Society's series of talks on local history, described as relevant to today's concerns while based on the roots of the past. Past presentations can be requested in person for groups of 10 or more, by donation, or watched free on the Society's YouTube channel. No age range, length or venue is given, and the site does not say whether they come to you or you come to them.

Good to know

For groups of 10 or more, by donation, with no set price. Nothing is published about how long it runs or where it happens.

Sources disagree. Two of their pages give different opening hours. One says weekdays 10 to 5 and Saturday 11 to 3, the other says Friday noon to 2 and Saturday 11 to 3. We use the first. Worth checking when you book.
Sources disagree. The museum page says admission is free in one place and by donation in another. Either way nobody will turn a group away, but take some cash if you want to leave something.
