What it actually looks like

Our note
This one only happens if you arrange it first, since the schoolhouse is normally kept shut. Email the museum well before your date and ask how long it takes and whether it suits your age group.
What the children do
The Bell Tower School was built in 1925 and was the main school for Lake Cowichan, and part of it now stands on the museum grounds with a replica classroom inside along with other artifacts from the region. The museum says the school building is not open to visitors at the moment but that tours can be arranged if they are booked ahead. No price, group size, length or notice period is published.
Go inside a 1925 schoolhouse and look at a classroom set up the way it was, along with other objects from the district.
Good to know
Everything practical about this is unpublished, including price, how long it runs, how many children can come and how much notice is needed. Treat the email as the starting point rather than a booking.
