Sensing the Seasons
What it actually looks like
What the children do
A 1.5 hour facilitated visit for preschool to grade 2 in which children use their senses in the gardens, smelling flowers, watching bees, listening to birds, touching soil and sometimes tasting something. The site says there is something to discover in the garden in any season. Program fees include entrance into the gardens, and no dollar amount is published.
Move through the gardens with a facilitator using one sense at a time, smelling flowers, watching for bees, listening for birds, putting hands in the soil and sometimes tasting something growing there.
Good to know
Washrooms are on site and most paths take strollers. The price, the group size limit and the notice they need are not published anywhere, so a call is the only way to plan properly.
