Our note
The 45 minutes is a floor, not a ceiling, and the whole route is stairs - plan for a slow group. Under-threes are free but their strollers have to stay in the vehicle, so someone will be carrying them.

What the children do

Self-guided tour tickets can be bought online or in the Visitor Centre on arrival. Tours take a minimum of 45 minutes and admission includes the use of the private parking lot. Rates are adults $24.50, seniors 65+ $22.00, post-secondary students 18+ with valid ID $22.00, youth 12-17 $16.50, children 4-11 $11.50, and children 3 and under free when accompanied by a paying adult. Discounted admission is offered for Indigenous people, Canadian Military, Access 2 Card holders and Canadian essential workers.

Walk the Castle at their own pace, up and down the 87 stairs between four floors, looking at the furnished rooms and stained glass without a guide.
