What the children do
A six week series for home learner families with children aged 6 to 12, running Fridays 10:00 to 12:00 for six consecutive weeks from 16 October 2026. Children learn to identify plants, animals and natural signs, look at seasonal cycles, and build observation and outdoor skills. Every child gets a waterproof field notebook to use as a nature journal. Tuition is $150 a child, with additional siblings at $90 each, and the group is capped at 12 children. Registration is required and goes through email.
Spend each session outdoors around the centre, looking for plants, animals and natural signs, and writing and drawing what they notice in their own waterproof field notebook.
Good to know
Sessions are outdoors whatever the weather, so children need clothes they can get wet and dirty in. Toilets and shelter are not described on the site.
