Our note
The only current, on-site evidence that tours still run is a line in the facility rental policy. The programme page behind it is now members only, so phone the office and confirm the tour is still offered before you plan a trip around it. Ask on the same call whether a tour can be shortened for young children; nothing on the site suggests one written for them.

What the children do

The cathedral's Facility Use Policy (revised April 2024, posted March 2025) states that formal tours of the cathedral are offered regularly and may be booked through the Parish Administrator or online, and that private tours must be arranged through the Parish Administrator. No price, duration, group size, age range or schedule for the tours is published on the public site. The 'Discover the Cathedral' programme page (/programs/discover-the-cathedral) redirects to a login screen, so any tour times or fees held there could not be read.

Good to know

Tours are booked through the Parish Administrator by phone or email. Price, length, group size, age suitability, washrooms and lunch space are all unpublished, so this needs a call before it is bookable.

Sources disagree. Their pages give different opening hours. Some list one time year round, others list shorter winter hours. Check the day you are going before you set off.

Restrictions
All minor children must be supervised by a parent or guardian, or a person authorized by the parent or guardian at all times. (Facility Use Policy, external group rentals). Neither smoking nor the use of recreational drugs is permitted on Cathedral property.. The cathedral nave and chapels are normally kept available for quiet personal prayer and meditation. Any other uses must be approved by the Parish Administrator and must be in keeping with the sacred nature of the space.. Individuals and groups wishing to use any cathedral space, indoors or out, for photographs must contact the Parish Administrator. The exception to this is visitors who wish to view the cathedral and to take a small number of personal photos, including selfies..
