What it actually looks like

Our note
An hour and a half with a sit down making session in the middle suits a group that can manage a quiet gallery for the first half. They publish no limit on group size and nothing about how many adults to bring, so settle both in the email when you book.
What the children do
A staff led guided tour of the current or an upcoming exhibition, followed by an art activity. The gallery describes it as a 30 minute tour with a 1 hour art activity, running an hour and a half in all, for K to 12 and beyond. The fee is $110 for the group, or $100 for School District 72 groups. Booking goes to the programs manager by email.
Go round the gallery with a member of staff who talks about the exhibition that is up, then spend about an hour on an art activity linked to what they have just looked at.
Good to know
There are washrooms on site and the building is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible parking space at the back. Nowhere to eat lunch and nowhere for a bus to wait are mentioned, so those are worth a call.
Sources disagree. Their home page says the gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday. Their hours page says that is the summer pattern and that Sundays stop from September 7. We use the hours page. Worth confirming before you plan anything on a Sunday.
Sources disagree. Their page describes the classroom visit as K to 12 in one line and all ages two lines later. If your group is younger than kindergarten, ask which they mean when you book.
