What it actually looks like

Photos from B.C. Aviation Museum's website
Our note
Ask what a tour on its own costs a group. The $8.50 per student rate is written for the booked education programs, and the only group price the site publishes elsewhere is an adult group rate for ten or more prebooked visitors.

What the children do

A guided tour with one of the museum's specially trained guides. Students explore the exhibits, learning about the history of aviation in British Columbia and Canada, and have the opportunity to walk through selected aircraft, from sitting in the pilot's seat of a Lockheed T-33 Fighter Jet to walking through the Hawaii Mars Waterbomber. The site says tours are offered for all ages but does not publish a price, duration or capacity for a tour-only group booking.

Walk the exhibits with a guide and go inside selected aircraft, including sitting in the pilot's seat of a Lockheed T-33 fighter jet and walking through the Hawaii Mars water bomber.

Good to know

The museum is wheelchair accessible with free parking on site. Price, length and group size for a tour-only visit are not published, and washrooms and lunch space are not mentioned anywhere on the site.

Sources disagree. Their pages give different opening hours. Some list one time year round, others list shorter winter hours. Check the day you are going before you set off.
