Our note
The $85 is the guide's fee only. Group admission is charged on top, so work out the adult heads before you compare this with the flat-fee school tour. No age range is published for these tours, so say who is coming when you email.

What the children do

A one-hour tour of the current exhibitions led by a trained AGGV art educator, for groups of up to 20 guests. The Gallery describes it as an option for classes, independent living and community groups. The price is $85 plus GST plus group admission, and tours are available in English, French and Japanese. Booked by email; the Visit page states requests must be made a minimum of 2 weeks in advance and that group rates apply.

Good to know

Indoors, step-free by ramp to every exhibition space, with washrooms and free lockers on site. No age range, lunch space or bus parking is published for this tour.

Sources disagree. Their own pages give two different answers for how many adults have to come. One asks for at least 3, another allows up to 6. The 1 adult per 6 children ratio is the same on both, so settle the total when you book.
Sources disagree. Two parts of their Visit page describe the first Saturday of the month differently. One says free, the other says pay what you can. Either way it is cheaper that day.
Washrooms
Four gender-neutral single-stall washrooms, two close to the front lobby and two outside the back exhibition spaces. One washroom has a baby change table, a safety grab bar, and soap and paper towels at a lower height. The front two washrooms are available to use without paid admission.
