Gallery and studio visit
What it actually looks like
What the children do
The gallery is open by appointment or chance at 7133A Pacific Rim Highway, off Highway 4 on Tseshaht traditional territory. Gordon Dick operates his studio and carving shelter on the same site and encourages visitors to stop in and watch him work. The site publishes no admission price, no group rate, no minimum age, no capacity and no separate booking route for children's groups.
Walk through the gallery looking at Northwest Coast carvings by Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakiutl and Coast Salish artists, in red cedar, alder, cedar bark and bronze. Then stop in at the carving shelter and studio, where Gordon Dick works and talks with visitors about Tseshaht First Nation and about how the carving styles of each region differ.
Good to know
The address, phone number and email are published, and the gallery opens by appointment or chance rather than on set hours. Washrooms, parking, indoor lunch space, accessibility and any cost for a group are not stated anywhere on the site, so ask when you phone.
